Lore & background

Spoiler-safe

Dawn of War is the classic Warhammer 40,000 real-time strategy series. Relic made the first three (2004 to 2017); King Art Games took over for the fourth.

  • Set on Kronus, the world fought over in Dark Crusade (2006)
  • The Blood Ravens and Gabriel Angelos are the series' signature Space Marines
  • Base building and squad-based battles are back
  • A separate game from Creative Assembly's Total War: Warhammer 40,000
